Job Role: Manager – Human Resources
Location: South Africa
Shift Timings: Rotational 10 hours between 1.00 PM to 3.00 AM SAST including weekends, with 2 weekly offs (consecutive or split across any days of the week)
Type of Position: Full Time
Role:
1. Strategic HR Management
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
• Act as a business partner to management, providing HR insights for decision-making.
• Drive organizational development initiatives.
2. Talent Acquisition & Management
• Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract top talent.
• Implement onboarding and orientation programmes.
• Manage succession planning and talent pipelines.
• Ensuring Recruitment Targets are met within stipulated deadlines
3. Employee Relations & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE Act, OHSA, etc.).
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and CCMA processes.
• Promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
4. Performance & Learning
• Implement performance management systems (KPIs, appraisals, feedback).
• Identify training needs and roll out learning & development initiatives.
• Support leadership development programmes.
5. Compensation & Benefits
• Oversee payroll in collaboration with Finance.
• Benchmark salary structures and benefits to remain competitive.
• Administer employee rewards, recognition, and retention programmes.
6. HR Operations & Reporting
• Maintain accurate HR records, policies, and procedures.
• Generate HR metrics and reports (turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, etc.).
• Lead HR audits and statutory reporting (e.g., Employment Equity reporting).
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Business acumen and strategic thinking ability
• Strong communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
• Proficiency in HRIS and Excel, PowerPoint & other MS office tools
• Must be willing to stretch as needed to meet business requirements and complete deliverables within timelines
Requirements
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources with a Law degree/ equivalent diploma.
• Proven experience managing CCMA cases, disciplinary procedures, and labour law compliance.
• Experience in organisational change management and employee engagement.
• Overall, 6 – 10 years of experience with minimum 2 years in a BPO industry (mandate).
• Eligible candidates must be currently employed with no major or questionable career gaps.
