Beyond Trails & Tales is a growing European travel company creating small-group trips that are very deliberately not ordinary package holidays.
We’re preparing a major 2027 launch and are looking for one person to take ownership of both growth marketing and social media on an ongoing part-time basis.
This is not a “post three times a week and make things look pretty” role.
We need someone who understands the full path:
- content → attention → trust → retargeting → booking → deposit paid
- Our upcoming products include everything from wildlife adventures and food-focused European trips to a week in a historic French château with horse riding, fencing, historical dance and a formal ball.
- What you’ll work on
- Instagram and TikTok strategy
- Turning supplied raw footage/photos into strong short-form content
- Content calendars and trip-launch campaigns
- Meta Ads
- Google Ads where commercially useful
- Retargeting
- Email marketing
Creative testing: hooks, formats, messaging and audiences
Analytics and conversion tracking
Monitoring CAC, conversions and bookings by trip
Landing-page/conversion feedback
Helping decide where marketing budget should — and should not — be spent
We provide the travel footage, photos, trip information and brand direction. You do not need to travel around creating all content yourself.
You’re probably a good fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience with both organic social and paid marketing
- Have personally managed Meta Ads campaigns
- Understand Google Ads
- Can show campaigns connected to actual leads, sales or bookings
- Understand short-form video and strong hooks
- Care about CAC, conversion rates and commercial results — not just followers
- Write excellent English
- Work independently and move quickly
- Are comfortable challenging an idea when the numbers don’t support it
- Travel-industry experience is useful but not required. Experience with high-consideration consumer products, ecommerce, hospitality, events or lifestyle brands can be equally relevant.
We are NOT looking for:
- A Canva/content-only social media manager
- A community manager with no paid acquisition experience
- Someone who reports impressions and followers but cannot explain whether anything sold
- An agency trying to sell us several separate specialists
- Generic AI-generated marketing

Hours: approximately 10–15 hours/week initially
Rate: €15–30/hour depending on experience
Duration: ongoing / long-term
Start: paid preparation can begin immediately; major trip launches begin late September 2026
Location: remote worldwide
Working hours: some reasonable overlap with Central European time required
During major launch periods, additional hours may be available and agreed in advance.
We are looking for one long-term person, not someone to complete a short campaign and disappear.
