1Scope and operator
These terms of use apply to the use of www.cityjobs.info (“Cityjobs”), operated by Leadsleader Marketing UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Erkrather Str. 401, 40231 Düsseldorf, Germany (“we”). They apply to employers and recruiters who create an account and publish job ads (“employers”) and, where stated, to all visitors.
2Our service
Cityjobs is a free online job board. Employers can publish job ads; visitors can read them without an account and apply directly with the employer. We are not a recruitment or placement agency, we are not a party to any employment relationship and we do not receive applications.
We do not guarantee a certain reach, a certain number of views or applications, or that job ads will be shown by search engines such as Google for Jobs. Using Cityjobs is free of charge. Should we ever offer paid features, they will only apply if you book them expressly.
3Employer account
Only employers and recruiters acting on behalf of a real employer may create an account. You must be at least 18 years old. The information in your account and company profile must be true, complete and up to date; this includes the company name, the company website and a working email address. You must keep your password secret and inform us immediately if you suspect misuse.
4Rules for job ads
Every job ad must describe a real, currently open position. In particular, it is not permitted to:
- ask applicants for money in any form, for example fees for registration, training, equipment, visas or “processing”;
- publish the same position more than once, or add places, districts or keywords to the job title (one ad per position; places belong in the location fields);
- pretend to be another company or use the name of a well-known company without authorisation;
- advertise pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, investment, trading or crypto offers, or “jobs” whose actual purpose is sales to the applicant;
- hide that a position is paid by commission only; if there is no fixed salary, the ad must say so clearly;
- state false or misleading information about the company, location, salary, currency or pay period;
- direct applicants exclusively to messenger services (such as Telegram or WhatsApp) without naming the company and a verifiable company website;
- discriminate against applicants, in particular on grounds of race, ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual identity;
- collect personal data that is not needed for the application, or use job ads for advertising, link building or search engine manipulation;
- publish content that is illegal or violates the rights of third parties, including copyrights and trademarks.
Employers must comply with the laws applicable to the advertised position, such as minimum wage and data protection rules.
5Review, removal and account closure
We review new job ads before publication. We may refuse to publish a job ad, take it offline, delete it or close an account if it violates these terms or the law, if there is reasonable suspicion of fraud or spam, or if emails to the account cannot be delivered. We decide as humans, supported by internal checks; we do not make fully automated decisions.
If we restrict or remove your content or close your account, we inform you by email and state the reasons, unless the law allows us not to do so. You can object by replying to this email or writing to support@cityjobs.info; we will review your objection promptly.
6Reporting job ads
Anyone can report a job ad they believe is fraudulent, misleading or illegal. Please send an email to support@cityjobs.info or use our contact form and include the link to the job ad, an explanation of why you consider it problematic, and your name and email address. We review every report and inform the reporting person about our decision. Job seekers should never pay money to apply for a job.
7Publication and search engines
By publishing a job ad, you grant us the non-exclusive right, free of charge and for the duration of the publication, to display the job ad and your company profile (including your logo) on Cityjobs, to reproduce them for this purpose, and to transmit them to search engines and job search services. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to the content you provide.
8Responsibility of employers
Employers are solely responsible for their job ads, their company profile and their communication with applicants. If third parties assert claims against us because of content provided by you, you shall indemnify us against such claims, unless you are not responsible for the infringement.
9Liability
Cityjobs is provided free of charge. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, our liability is excluded. We are not responsible for the content of job ads or for the conduct of employers or applicants.
We aim to keep Cityjobs available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, restrict or discontinue the service.
10Termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate the use of Cityjobs with two weeks’ notice; our right to terminate immediately for good cause, in particular for violations of section 4, remains unaffected.
11Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for good reason, for example because of new features or legal requirements. We will inform employers by email at least four weeks before changes take effect. If you do not object before that date, the changes are deemed accepted; we will point this out in the email. If you object, either party may terminate the use.
12Contact point, applicable law and language
Our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act is support@cityjobs.info; you can contact us in English or German.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where a consumer has their habitual residence remain unaffected. For merchants, the place of jurisdiction is Düsseldorf. These terms are available in English and German; in case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
