GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs substance use disorder and mental health counseling
work on an individual patient basis and in a group setting. Responsible for servicing primary
caseload along with other patients as assigned, and documenting in accordance with company
standards. Counselors will demonstrate the clinical skills necessary to provide a full range of
recovery-oriented, substance use clinical services, including but not limited to screening,
assessment, intake, treatment/discharge/recovery planning, individual and group counseling, case
management and referral to necessary resources, and psychoeducation. All Counselors are
provided workspace to conduct counseling sessions.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling,
social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a
related human services field.
Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) certified by the Florida Certification Board
Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) certified by the Florida Certification Board
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certified by the Florida Certification Board
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certified by the Florida Certification Board
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida Driver\'s License.
Must pass background and fingerprinting checks.
Must pass drug screen.
