Job Description
Paws4Humanity are seeking to recruit an Environmental Education Officer who will play a pivotal role in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness through the development, implementation, and management of educational workshops.
This role requires a passionate advocate for environmental protection who can engage, inspire, and educate communities, schools, organizations, and individuals on environmental issues, best practices, and sustainable living.

Person SpecificationAll of the following requirements will be assessed from a combination of information provided from an application form, the interview process and references (if applicable)EssentialDesirable1 Previous experience (typically 2-5 years) in environmental education, sustainability outreach, or community engagement.2Experience in developing educational resources and workshops, both in-person and digital.3Previous experiencing of promoting and delivering environmental education to the BME community4 Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. 5Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to design engaging educational experiences.6Knowledge of environmental issues, including climate change, biodiversity, conservation, and waste management and how this comes into play with the cost of living crisis7 Proficient in using digital platforms, social media, and online tools for education and outreach.8 Passion for environmental conservation and education.9Ability to work independently and as part of a team.10Strong organizational and project management skills.11Flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude towards learning and development.In addition to the above, the following areas have been identified as desirable areas of expertise we are particularly interested in recruiting to our Trust Board12Certification or additional training in environmental education or sustainability practices.13Familiarity with curriculum development and educational frameworks.14 Fluency in additional languages such as Urdu or Punjabi is a plus.
