Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Website Developer/Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This individual will be responsible for owning all aspects of web development, including leading a large website redesign initiative. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Website Developer/Manager will play a key role in ensuring our website is visually engaging, user-friendly, optimized for search engines, and accessible to all users.
This role requires a WordPress expert with a strong understanding of various page builders, responsive design, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, remote work environment, engaging regularly with marketing team members and cross-functional departments.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute a large-scale website redesign, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize the company website using WordPress and various page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi).
• Ensure a responsive, mobile-friendly design that provides a seamless user experience across devices.
• Implement accessibility best practices (WCAG compliance) to make the website usable for all audiences.
• Optimize site performance, page speed, and SEO (technical and on-page) to improve search rankings and user experience.
• Manage website security, updates, and integrations with third-party tools and platforms.
• Work closely with the marketing team to implement landing pages, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support web-based initiatives.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing website support and maintenance.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on WordPress.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with page builders (Elementor, Divi, etc.).
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, including schema markup, site speed optimization, and structured data.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and implementation.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Yoast SEO).
• Experience integrating APIs, plugins, and third-party marketing tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and A/B testing tools.
