Job description
Our client, a reputable healthcare and pharmaceutical establishment, is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the dispensing of medications, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide expert guidance on the safe use of prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.
- Provide professional advice on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication use.
- Maintain accurate inventory and manage stock levels of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical laws and ethical standards.
- Monitor patient drug therapies for safety and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to optimize patient treatment plans.
- Supervise pharmacy assistants and ensure proper record-keeping and labeling.
Requirements & qualifications
Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
- Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience
- Statutory registration with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN)
- Membership of PSN and WAPF preferred
- Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy an added advantage
- Experience working in oil and gas sector is desirable
