Job description
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory activities and staff performance.
- Conduct advanced diagnostic tests in hematology, microbiology, and biochemistry.
- Review and validate test results before submission to physicians.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliability.
- Implement and monitor internal quality control and assurance procedures.
- Train and mentor junior laboratory personnel.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Manage laboratory documentation, records, and inventory.
Requirements & qualifications
- Associate/Fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree
- 5 years post-internship experience OR 3 years post-internship experience with Shell Health and excellent performance record
- Certificates in Quality Management, Biosafety, and Infection Prevention and Control required
