Controller, Sr. Accountant at Private manufacturing company in Tilburg, Netherlands (full-time)

As the most senior accounting professional in the Benelux region, you’ll manage a small team and oversee all day-to-day accounting, tax, inventory, and reporting functions. You’ll report locally to the Regional GMand functionally to the Global Controller at headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, taxes, and inventory.
• • Supervise and support a small team of junior accountants.
• • Prepare monthly financial statements and submit reporting under IAS.
• • Oversee sales & use tax compliance and support year-end tax filings.
• • Manage physical inventory reporting, overhead allocation, and write-offs.
• • Coordinate with HQ finance on consolidation and intercompany transactions.
• • Maintain internal controls and ensure reporting accuracy.

• • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• • Experience managing at least one direct report.
• • Solid knowledge of inventory accounting and cost allocation.
• • Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.
• • Strong understanding of the local tax compliance (sales/use and annual filings).
• • Familiarity with IAS and IFRS reporting and working with global HQ.
