Summary:
The Audio Visual Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution and successful completion of AV projects. This includes planning, design review, equipment procurement support, system installation oversight, testing, commissioning, and client training. The Project Engineer will work closely with other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. They will be a technical expert and problem-solver, ensuring the seamless integration of AV systems into diverse environments.
Responsibilities:
• Equipment Procurement and Management:
• Track equipment deliveries and ensure timely availability for installation.
• Manage equipment inventory on-site and maintain accurate records.
• Installation Oversight and Technical Support:
• Supervise and coordinate the work of installation technicians, ensuring adherence to project plans and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams, resolving on-site issues and ensuring quality workmanship.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential problems.
• Ensure all installations meet relevant safety standards and building codes.
• Testing, Commissioning, and Documentation:
• Perform comprehensive system testing and commissioning to verify functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Create detailed system documentation, including as-built drawings, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
• Client Training and Support:
• Provide training to clients on the operation and maintenance of AV systems.
• Offer ongoing technical support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve project processes and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor\\\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Multimedia Information Technology, or related experience is preferred.
• Experience: Experience in the audio-visual industry, with a focus on project engineering or system integration is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of AV systems design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with AV equipment, including displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX), and video broadcasting systems.
• Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
