We’re a fintech company building financial infrastructure that touches real money, real accounts, and real users across multiple markets. Our product surface includes banking integrations, payment flows, and data-intensive dashboards — the kind of work where bugs have consequences and architecture decisions compound over time.

We’re looking for a senior full-stack developer who can own features end-to-end, make sound technical decisions independently, and deliver production-ready code — without needing hand-holding or weekly check-ins to stay on track.

• • This is a long-term remote engagement (6+ months). If you’re looking for a short sprint or a quick gig, this isn’t the right fit.

• • What You’ll Work On
• • Building and maintaining full-stack features in Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript
• • Designing and consuming RESTful APIs for financial data — rates, transactions, balances, account flows
• • Implementing secure, performant UI components and data-fetching layers
• • Collaborating async-first with a lean team on a product that needs to scale reliably
• • Participating in architecture and code review with a high bar for clarity and maintainability
• • What We’re Looking For

Must-have:

• • 4+ years of professional full-stack experience
• • Deep, hands-on experience with Next.js (App Router preferred) and TypeScript
• • Strong backend fundamentals — Node.js, Express or equivalent, SQL/PostgreSQL
• • Experience building or integrating financial or regulated APIs (banking, payments, credit)

Proven ability to work autonomously: you manage your own time, flag blockers early, and don’t wait to be told what to do

• • Clean code mindset — you write for maintainability, not just to ship

Nice-to-have:

• • Experience with real-time data, WebSockets, or event-driven architectures
• • Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or message queues in a production context
• • Background in African financial markets (mobile money, USSD, local payment rails)
• • Docker and containerized deployment experience
