Job Description
Technical Management:
Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures for all mechanical equipment in the factory.
Complete commissioning of the plant on time- for the Material Handling, Raw mill section (Roll Press), Pyro section, and Cement mill section with coordination with the internal, and external stakeholders during the project.
Monitor and optimize the performance of machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure alignment between mechanical operations and production targets.
Stay updated with technological advancements in the field and recommend upgrades or modifications as necessary.
Team Leadership:
Lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Set clear performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the mechanical team.
Promote teamwork and collaboration among team members and cross-functional departments.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans for machinery, equipment, and systems.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment modifications.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including documentation of repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
Monitor equipment reliability, analyze failures, and implement measures to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
Promote a culture of safety awareness among the mechanical team and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Coordinate with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department to address safety concerns and implement necessary improvements.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Prepare and manage the mechanical department\'s annual budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality and reliability.
Monitor expenses, track maintenance costs, and implement measures to optimize spending.
Requirements
B.E Mechanical Engineering.
20+ years of work experience in cement (Preferably white cement).
Understanding of ISO 90001.
Conversant with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP/ERP.
Good communication skills (written and verbal) for coordination with internal and external stakeholders, planning, and organizing skills.
